History & Mission
The Dayton Yoga Club was established in the fall of 2015 in response to the closing
of a downtown yoga studio and the desire of students to expand their
level of involvement in shaping the yoga community of Dayton.
Rooted in the discipline of "coming to the mat," members practice together
with the goal of strengthening their own physical practice and
their ability to cultivate yogic principles off the mat.
Members chose a club organizational structure with the following goals in mind:
> To deepen and expand the existing yoga community.
> To provide a regular venue for learning, practice.
and meditation for all who are interested.
> To create an affordable model of operation by incorporating as a not-for-profit.
> To impact the broader Dayton community through
yoga-inspired service projects
and philanthropic support.
